That’s misleading lol
This was a bug and has been fixed.
As 8bit said, required fields aren’t actually required in the sense that there is no consequence for leaving them blank.
The idea is that “Required” is more understandable than “In most cases we think this is something you’ll need to fill in”.
There are cases where for most users, a “Required” field should be filled in, but some users/use-cases don’t dictate that field being filled.
“Recommended” might be a more precise word, but people know what “Required” means in the context of form fields.
