Whenever a bot goes offline, wake it up with a prompt whenever the user returns to make the bot go online. If this fails, the bot presence will automatically update if a change is contributed.

Inventor bots should not be going offline with enough frequency to warrant this, so you might need to reset your bot’s token or something if you are encountering frequent shutdowns (or if you are seeing frequent runtime/abuse shutdowns, look at errors to see why).
Also, if a bot is offline, it cannot detect messages or when you come online, because it is not connected to gateway and would not receive the event. Bots show up as offline when they are not connected to gateway.
