If the image is the right aspect ration then crop to it automatically. When uploading photos it’s inconvenient to make sure I get the whole image and don’t crop any pixels off.
Unfortunately, this is not naively supported in the JS library being used for cropping (we’re using basically the only actively maintained one) and would basically require a fork with relatively major changes. Not worth it for a relatively minor inconvenience, especially when I expect most users to not be uploading native 16:9 images.
