No, it works fine. The person who made that command just ignored the error, I guess. I just tried it and it did give me an error.

i guess it should be made more obvious and annoying, like how when you config roles on a server and try to exit the page without saving, it shakes it and prompts you to save
Or just play a siren sound and flash red until they fix it
