Pretty self-explanatory. If a block is trying to reference a non-existent block’s variables just put a red dot on it or turn it orange or something.
This is a planned feature as part of the warnings/linter feature, which will likely include indicators on all blocks that cause warnings in addition to having a page with an explicit button to check for problems and list of problems that are found.
